St Ewe Free Range Eggs has appointed former Müller Yogurt & Desserts chief executive Justin Cook as chairman as the business prepares for its next phase of growth.

Cook joins the Cornish egg producer with more than two decades of senior leadership experience across the food and drink sector, having held executive positions with Kraft, Mondelez and Jacobs Douwe Egberts before leading Müller Yogurt & Desserts between 2021 and 2024.

The appointment follows the recent departure of managing director Martin Glinski and comes after a year of significant expansion for the business. For the year ending 31 March 2025, turnover rose to £50.9 million from £27.3 million the previous year, while the workforce increased to 152 employees.

Cook said the company's family ownership, values and strong position in the egg market made it an attractive business to join. He believes there is further scope for growth through continued product innovation and stronger consumer engagement.
