Griffiths secures new packing centre to support future growth

Griffiths has taken an important step in strengthening its packing and grading operations with the purchase of a new packing centre at Hortonwood, Telford.

The new site will replace the existing Oaklands facility and was selected following a detailed review of several options. Hortonwood offers excellent access to local and national road networks, making it a practical and convenient location for producers, staff and transport operations.

The building provides the space and capacity required to house the company’s new SANOVO egg grader, while also allowing room for future growth as the business continues to develop. This investment reflects Griffiths’ long-term commitment to maintaining efficient, reliable and high-quality packing services for its producer base.

Work will now begin to develop the unit into a modern, purpose-designed packing centre. This will be a significant project, carried out over the coming weeks and months, with a dedicated project team focused on creating an operation that works efficiently and supports consistent throughput.
