Recognising the dedication, loyalty and contribution of colleagues who help shape our success.Sponsored by Innovad.with the main awards ceremony sponsored by Morspan Construction We are delighted to launch the new BFREPA Long Service Award, a celebration of the people whose dedication, loyalty and hard work have helped shape the free range egg sector over many years. This award is a chance to say a very sincere thank you to the team members and colleagues who give so much of themselves to their work, their businesses and the wider industry. Their experience, knowledge and everyday commitment deserve to be recognised and warmly celebrated. Why long service mattersLong-serving colleagues are often the steady hands, familiar faces and trusted voices at the heart of a business. They bring continuity, practical know-how and a deep understanding of what it takes to keep teams and operations moving. They support new starters, share hard-earned knowledge, strengthen relationships and contribute to the sense of pride and belonging that makes our sector special. Reaching such significant milestones is a wonderful achievement and one that deserves a proper moment of celebration.About the awardThe Long Service Award will recognise employees at key service milestones, giving us the opportunity to pause, applaud and celebrate their journey. Each recipient will be acknowledged not only for the years they have given, but for the positive impact they have made along the way — the guidance offered, the standards upheld, the challenges overcome and the contribution made to the continued strength of the free range sector.Eligibility will be based on continuous service for a company involved in the free range sector, with awards presented to individuals who reach 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service. The award is open to people in a wide range of roles, including, but not limited to, office and administrative staff, farm workers, drivers, technicians and engineers. These milestones are a wonderful opportunity to shine a light on the people whose skill, reliability and dedication have helped businesses grow, adapt and succeed over many years. To nominate someone, businesses will be invited to put forward eligible colleagues who have reached one of the qualifying milestones, sharing a few details about their length of service, role and contribution to the free range sector. Nominations are a simple but meaningful way to recognise those special people whose commitment may otherwise go quietly unnoticed, and we encourage employers and teams to take the opportunity to celebrate colleagues who have given so much over the years.Closing date for applications: 15 September 2026.What recipients can expect• A celebratory award or gift to mark the milestone, presented at the BFREPA National Free Range Egg Awards Gala Dinner.• Public recognition through the Ranger magazine, BFREPA Website and social media.• An opportunity for managers and colleagues to share appreciation and reflect on achievements.• A photo of themselves receiving their award with the celebrity host.A culture of appreciationBy celebrating long service, we are honouring the people who have helped carry the sector forward with loyalty, professionalism and pride. The new award is a reminder that behind every successful business are individuals who turn up, contribute, care and make a difference year after year.We look forward to celebrating our first Long Service Award recipients this year at The International Centre, Telford on 26th November and sharing their stories across the free range sector. Please join us in giving them the recognition they so richly deserve, and in celebrating the commitment, care and character that continue to make our industry stronger.Email your applicant to kate@bfrepa.co.uk
