Designed for forward thinking producers and allied industry professionals, the academy brings together a small group of enthusiastic participants who are keen to learn, share experiences and help shape the future of the sector. Whether you are part of a family farming business, managing flocks, working in pullet rearing or supporting the industry through the allied trade, the programme offers valuable insight and practical experience that can benefit both your career and your business.
Over 12 months, academy members will take part in a series of engaging visits and industry events across the UK, covering every stage of production from hatchery to retail. Participants will gain behind the scenes access to areas of the industry many never normally see, including rearing, vaccination, feed milling, packing, processing, retail and policy engagement. There is also the potential for a European study visit to explore alternative production systems and innovations within the wider egg sector.
