- We are the only organisation that exists solely to represent the interests of free range egg producers.
- Our objectives are to maintain and improve the quality of British free range eggs, encourage the sale of British free range eggs and improve the standards of habitat and welfare of the free range hen.
- We are consulted by Defra on all relevant new legislation that could affect our producer members and have seats on all the major industry bodies such as the NFU Poultry Board and BEIC Council.
- We produce the Ranger – a lively and informative monthly publication that reports industry news, provides technical advice and details vital market statistics. We also keep members up-to-date through email and provide urgent or up-to-the-minute news via a text service. Most recently we have set up a BFREPA members group on ‘Telegram’ which is a similar messaging tool to WhatsApp.
- We send regular free range planning application data to all who sign up to our email service, so you can keep informed about potential new customers.
- All BFREPA Associate members receive copies of research, reports and guides produced with the support of those contributing to our BFREPA Sustainability Scheme.
- We have two comprehensive websites at www.bfrepa.co.uk and www.lovefreerangeeggs.co.uk, packed full of advice and information to help your business, which includes a ‘Members Only’ area on the BFREPA website where you can download membership certification for your company, read digital back copies of the Ranger, plus access other services.
- Contact details of all Associate members are listed in the ‘Poultry Directory’ which is published every month in the back of the Ranger magazine.
- We hold the BFREPA Annual Conference which is now the largest egg industry event in the UK, to which all Associate members are invited to take trade stand space.
- Only Associate members may advertise in the Ranger or apply for our Bronze, Silver or Gold Sustainability industry sponsorship schemes which provide enhanced advertising and benefits packages.
